Orkut Vs Facebook

Orkut – A famous community website from web giant Google having lot of functionality which provides the person to connect with all his/her friends and family altogether wherever in the world through the internet. India has good contribution in Orkut by having millions of users from India. Everyone talk about orkut and connected with their school, college and Job friends. But suddenly in Indai Facebook has raised its hand by getting lot of users from orkut and from non-orkut sites. Facebook has started to earn popularity over orkut and in that way so google has to improve Orkut and give the functionalities like facebook is giving.

Facebook – Holding second largest number of users in India. Many users have their account on Orkut and Facebook both. Facebook provides lot of features and its main feature is to provide different games through the application. Lot of users are using facebook due to its applications and the facility to show update on the friend’s Wall(Home page). Facebook getting lot of users and seems very user friendly.

With lot of difference in both the sites Orkut has to launch its new design and version to provide facilities like Facebook to stop its users to select facebook as favourite community site. I have asked some of the friends who use only orkut and who uses Orkut and Facebook both about the changes made by Orkut in its new design.

The user who uses only orkut welcomed new change of orkut and impressed a lot by this. They enjoyed seeing updates of friends on their page and getting the comment on that while the users of Facebook refused to accept this version as found this change of orkut as copy paste of facebook and many says it’s the facebook’s 0.0th version.

In short we can say Facebook has higher hand as it is providing lot of application that can refresh users mind by playing it.

My vision is orkut’s new change is good but it is not enough to compete Facebook’s Farmville and lot of other applications.
