Friends a part of life, a part of your happiness and sadness. The word is so good to here whenever you are sad or happy. It always leaves wonderful time when you meet your old friends. Thinking of life without friend is just life without breathe.
We got the tickets of match between India and South Africa in Ahmedabad. With the help of great innings by Master Blaster Sir Sachin Tendulkar, India has already won the series with 2-0 and there was no importance of the ODI in ahmedabad. India has replaced key players like Sachin Tendulkar, Virendra Sehwag and some bowlers. Yuvvi and Gambhir were already out due to injuries. Now it seems we were going to watch a Ranji Match but the match wasn’t that much important for me as I was about to meet my college friends and pass good time with them. Bhrugal, Prashant, Krunal, Jaimin(Swami), Kartik, Me and one more friend, in total we are 7 person to go to watch match. As we never get the things easily the same happened on that day.
The plan was to meet at our friend Bhrugal’s place and then we all will go together in his car. We planned to meet there at 12.30 as the match timing was 2.30. We all reached his place at around 12.30 and now the waiting started for Mr. Bhrugal to come home from his shop. Time was passing and there wasn’t any clue when he will come to home. Its 1, 1.15, 1.30 still he was not in. Some of us has passed comment that we hold each ticket in our hand and watch the match at his place on TV only(ha ha). At last he came at 1.40, change cloths and took his lunch. We left at 1.45 from his home. Now the time to reach stadium by car is around 1 hour from his home but thanks to his good driving we reached the stadium in 40 minutes and what we have seen is long line of car parking. Oops!! One more problem. We have decided to park car at his auntie’s place which is very nearer to the stadium as it could create traffic problem for us while leaving the stadium after match.
After parking car we started walking towards stadium. Finally we reached in to the stadium. It’s South Africa’s Innings going on and we already missed 6 overs. Both the batsmen were playing on the score of 22 and 24. This is the first experience for some of us to watch match in the ground including me. The ground was packed with large number of cricket fans with having Indian flag in hand. Some has painted the flag on their cheeks.
Nice Atmosphere as everyone cheering up Indian team but the day belongs to the other side SA. They played tremendous cricket. Skipper Kallis and ABD played all around the ground and both hit centuries. Our new bowlers were good in the start but in the death overs they were not that much good. The experienced Sreesanth also gave lot of runs. You never feels while watching on the ground that whether it is 50 overs game or 20 overs. Overs are just passing fast. Everyone cheered up Kallis and ABD for their centuries. Now the time for Indians to show some great shots and make crowd happy by winning game.
Murali Vijay and Dinesh Karthik started the innings and they played some good shot but they throw their wickets early. Match is going good and crowd cheering up. The hero Sachin Tendulkar wasn’t in the match so there was no one to cheer on the ground while entering for batting. Crowd has got that chance for Indian captain. All are shouting Dhoni, Dhoni when he was entering in the ground. He hit one six and it was awesome but he also throw his wicket. Now nothing to watch in the match but India took batting power play, Jadeja and Raina used it very well and show some good shots to crowd. Raina got out and we also got out of the ground without seeing tailenders to fall.
We reached the half way to home and planned to take dinner on the way in some good hotel. Suddenly Bhrugal’s cell phone rang and he got call from another friend who was unable to join us in watching match. He asked us to go for a movie. Wow… Although everyone tired in the car, no one has refused the plan except one or two but who is going to listen them as majority were ready for movie. We went to that friend’s place took pillows and some mattresses as we are going to an open air theater Drive-In (All Amdavadi people knows this but the explanation is for who don’t know about Drive In). The theater is good for spending time with family on weekends. You can get your car in, take some good place on the ground and watch the movie by sitting in the car or you can use your mattresses and pillows to watch movie by sleeping on the ground near your car. We took some food from Honest as everyone was very hungry after watching match. Got some good place to park car and everyone got the pillow; spread the mattresses on the ground in front of the car. And the surprise was we didn’t know which movie we were going to watch. We usually go to that theater for fun, not to watch movie. The latest one Karthik Calling Karthik running there. We reached in the theater at 11 and here also we missed movie of around 20 to 30 mins. Everyone was hungry so we open the packet of food and started eating. No one is even looking at the screen. After having dinner everyone started to look on screen and its Interval time (lolzzz). We lost almost half part of the movie. After Interval the movie was so boring and we were tired so some friends started sleeping there. After completing movie we reached to bridge on Sabarmati River and it was around 1.15. Nice and cool atmosphere there as River front project going on there. We spend 15 to 20 minutes there by pulling each others leg.
At last we reached Bhrugal’s home at 2 am. We took our bikes from there and started journey towards our home. I used word journey as everyone was very tired after match and movie and not in the condition to ride bike. I reached home and slept in 5 minutes.
The Next day was Sunday. I have planned to meet some of my school friends. We met at the same place in our area where we usually meet. Everyone was talking about their life job. But the hot topic was the marriage. Everyone asking each other to get marry but no one is ready to get marry. I was shocked by the count they are telling me, the count of girls they met for marriage (Of course no body have girl friend and no one is going to do love marriage.) one has 6 count, one has 8 and the highest was 11. My goodness, I have not even started my account (Don’t know my expression whether it was sad or happy.. J).
But on the whole it was really a fun to meet old friends and talking about life.
